Useless blabber

So, do you think the Chinese people look at our shit while they're making it and think, "Dang, I gotta get me one of these things, they're cute as hell!" ?

I picked this up the other day at Yankee Candle and it's soooo cute!

I also picked this up:

I have about 300 tealights from my PartyLite show back in March. This is a really good way of using them up. Each candle holder uses like 3-6 tealights. Maybe I'll start decorating for Halloween Tuesday.

Kidding, I'm kidding. More like Thursday.

Maybe

This is the trailer we're considering.

It's soooooo long though! I'm on the fence about this.

Recipe of the day

This is the BEST taco seasoning I've ever had. This will make enough for 1lb. of ground meat. I also added 2/3 C water and 1/2 TBLSP of flour to aid in thickening the recipe.

Taco Seasoning

1 tablespoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Combine all ingredients. Store in tightly sealed container.

Lukeism #824

I made brownie (low fat of course ;) ) cupcakes for the beasties today. I let them have some icing and sprinkles to decorate their dessert. This is the conversation that ensued:

Luke concentrating hard on getting the icing on his brownie cupcake

Mom: "Luke, don't lick the knife then put it back into the icing."

Luke continues to work hard on getting that icing on.

Mom: "LUKE! I said don't lick the icing off the knife. That's called double dipping and it's GROSS!"

Luke: "Well Mom, we are boys and boys are gross. I think it's time you started getting use to that."

Mom: "Word. Thanks for the reminder."

Say a prayer

There was a 4 y/o little girl that came into the ER tonite. She drown in the family pool. Her mom was out of town when it happened. She was called and told to come back home ASAP. Every mother's worst nightmare just came true for this mom and her husband and family. It doesn't matter that I don't know them or that you don't for that matter. I ask that you say a prayer for them. This could be any of us. My heart aches for them.....hug your children tight tonight. I know I will.

Adult Heart Attack

If you have good medical insurance, make these for your next dessert:

Beast #2 just about had a stroke when DH took him and his bro to see TowMater from the Disney movie Cars. As luck would have it, DH stumbled on this while he was tooling around town one night working. Beast #2 LOOOVES him some Mater!!! Here's the proof:

American capitalism at it's finest.

I just spend the better part of the day in Flint Michigan at the Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad where a "Day out with Thomas" was going on. For those of you without children ages 2-7, Thomas the Tank Engine is a whole empire which drains the pocketbooks of American mothers who's child just MUST have the latest and greatest train additions to the plethora of train sets available, not to mention the t-shirts, underwear, bedding, swimsuits, toys, dinnerware, electronics, music cd's, DVD's, books, etc. (of which we have most of...sigh.)

For the record, I have resisted the Day out with Thomas for a couple of years now because I didn't want to be surrounded with hundreds of wild-child-animals who flock to this tour that the capitalist Thomas the Tank Engine bastards arrange every summer. I succumbed to the gravitational Thomas pull because Beast #2 WORSHIPS Thomas. He sleeps with various trains of Thomas every night. Worships I tell you. Soooooooooooooo, being the excellent mother that I am, I approached DH and sucked him into this hell, ordered the tickets ($18 each I might add..jebus) and off we went. Here are the results:

One of the workers at the petting area told DH that if he put his cheek to the fence, the Alpaca would "kiss" him. I cannot believe he actually did it!

I couldn't resist putting this one together!
